Natixis: a demanding and committed cultural patronage

Driven by an ambitious and open vision of culture, Natixis’ (Groupe BPCE) cultural patronage is part of a long-term approach dedicated to preserving heritage, supporting contemporary creation, and passing it on to future generations. The playlist “From the Museum to Your Ears” extends the exhibition experience through music, inviting a subtle dialogue between painting, “sound art,” and the graceful silence that permeates these works.

As Nicolas Namias, Chief Executive Officer of BPCE and President of the Management Board of Natixis, emphasizes: “Our support for the exhibition ‘Georges de La Tour. Between Shadow and Light’ at the Musée Jacquemart-André is part of a long-term commitment to culture, transmission, and the promotion of our heritage. We deeply believe that culture has the power to bring people together and to forge lasting bonds between generations and across territories.”

For Mohamed Kallala, Chief Executive Officer of Natixis, and Philippe Setbon, Chief Executive Officer of Natixis Investment Managers: “We thank you for joining us in celebrating the beauty of Georges de La Tour’s works, a 17th-century master whose mystery continues to captivate us today. His constant attention to detail and rigor in the art of execution resonates—distantly but genuinely—with our global businesses in corporate and investment banking, as well as in asset and wealth management.”

A long-term commitment

For nearly twenty years, Natixis has reaffirmed its commitment to painting and culture, enabling thousands of visitors to discover masterpieces of the past and present through continuous support for a selection of emblematic exhibitions, both in France and abroad. Initially focused on the conservation and restoration of major works, Natixis has gradually broadened its commitment to making culture accessible to all audiences. In 2025, the bank continues its mission as major patron of the exhibition “Georges de La Tour: Between Shadow and Light” at the Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris, in keeping with its ongoing collaborations with prestigious museum institutions.

A global cultural impact

Natixis’ commitment also extends internationally with its 2025 support of two exhibitions celebrating cultural dialogue. In Milan, Natixis partnered with the Poldi Pezzoli Museum for the exhibition “The Seduction of Color: Andrea Solario and the Renaissance between Italy and France.” In London, the bank supported the Royal Academy of Arts for “Astonishing Things: The Drawings of Victor Hugo.”

Promoting diversity through culture

Beyond the visual arts, Natixis strengthens its role as a patron in the field of opera. Since 2015, the bank has been a founding sponsor of the Académie of the Paris Opera, sharing with this institution core values: a culture of excellence, the importance of transmission, the promotion of talent, and the advancement of diversity and gender equality—particularly within its conductor training program. In 2025, Natixis celebrates ten years of a commitment that illustrates its determination to support leading cultural institutions over the long term.
